Foram quase dois meses sem provas, mas, neste final de semana (8 e 9), a Fórmula 4 Francesa volta à ativa com a disputa da quinta etapa em rodada tripla da temporada 2018.
O palco desta vez será a pista de Magny-Cours, que sediou o GP da França de Fórmula 1 entre 1991 e 2008.
Único brasileiro na categoria, o paulista Caio Collet vai correr pela primeira vez no traçado de 4.411 metros e 17 curvas e luta para manter a liderança da temporada.
Em quatro etapas (12 provas), já foram três vitórias, mais três pódios e três pole positions do brasileiro de apenas 16 anos e que faz sua estreia nos monopostos nesta temporada, depois de uma carreira vitoriosa no kart.
A programação para a etapa de Magny-Cours começa hoje (7) com um treino livre de 30 minutos e o classificatório (a partir das 12h25 de Brasília). Amanhã, sábado (08), serão duas provas, cada uma com 20 minutos de duração e mais uma volta (4h55 e 9h20 de Brasília). A rodada será encerrada domingo (9) com a terceira corrida, a partir das 5h55 (de Brasília).
Collet já realizou um dia de teste no circuito na pré-temporada e gostou muito da pista. Com a competição entrando na reta final, o piloto também espera por disputas ainda mais acirradas. “Minha expectativa para essa etapa é muito positiva.
Temos evoluído bastante e estou muito confiante”, comentou o brasileiro, que desde 2017 integra o seleto grupo de pilotos da All Road Management, liderada pelo empresário Nicolas Todt, que também gerencia a carreira de Felipe Massa.
